The items below provide some great information on how to ride in and deal with traffic, and avoid the most common causes of bicycling accidents. "Street Smarts" is the best short book to help you ride better in any traffic situation. The State of Pennsylvania uses this as its official bicycle driver handbook, and it's the book many of the most knowledgeable bicycle educators and advocates nationwide turn to for a quick, concise reference.
